My family and I moved three years ago to an area that had no lacrosse opportunities for me. During that time, I focused on other sports, conditioning and weightlifting. Just this past summer, we returned to the area where I first fell in love with the game of lacrosse. When I had the opportunity to join the lacrosse team during the fall to condition, I was excited to get a stick back in my hands and really work. That first day when I went out to the field to shoot, a fire was ignited in my again! During my time away from the sport, I had grown stronger and more confident in myself and I can see that in my game.
I cannot wait for the lacrosse season to begin so that I can get back to the game I love. But I also want to excel! I want to be the best player I can be and prove that even while I may have been gone from the sport for 3 years, I am still capable and a force to be reckoned with. Everyday I work to be that player through conditioning, weightlifting, or having a stick in my hand.
