Sam Hoffman '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sam Hoffman. I am a 17 year old lacrosse goalie in the class of 2024. I play for Clarksville High Lacrosse in Clarksville, TN and Team Eighteen for summer ball. For school, I attend Montgomery Central High in Cunningham, TN. Since I started in 3rd grade, I have always had a strong drive for lacrosse. Week in and week out I put the work in to better myself. I train with many different coaches to receive as much feedback as I can. I have started on my varsity team since 8th grade and was on the all-star team my freshman year. For those four years on varsity, I have also been named one of the teams captains. My 8th grade year I got a save percentage of 55% which placed me at #13 in the state. Freshman year I got a 63% and was ranked #12. My sophomore season I got a 65% and was ranked #6 Finally, in my junior year I got a 73% and was ranked #2.  On the academic side of me, I have a 4.0 GPA and take several honors and AP classes. I always aim as high as I can get, so if something slows me down, I work on that area to be just as successful as the rest. My goal is to play at the next level in college, while also following my career path to being a veterinarian. I have been in cage for the past 9 years and I can not wait for more to come. I have tried several other positions and sports, but none of them have compared to being a lacrosse goalie.
