My name is Andrew Romito. I am a 17 year old rising senior who aspires to play college lacrosse and earn a degree in either Engineering, Business, or Finance. I have been playing for 9 years. I am currently starting at the attack position for Father Ryan High School Lacrosse in Nashville, Tennessee. Recently I completed my summer travel season with Fine Tune Lacrosse 2021 out of Nashville as a starter at the attack position. In the past I have also played at the midfield position. In July 2021, I was invited and played in the USPLL league in Boston, MA along with 125 other players. It was a excellent experience and I had the highest shooting percentage at he event and scored the 2nd most goals (31 goals on 60 shots, 51.7% shooting).
My love for the game began in 3rd grade when my family and I relocated to Pennsylvania from Louisiana. Lacrosse was not yet being played in Louisiana at that time, I played travel baseball and soccer. It all changed for me when I picked up a lacrosse stick and played with my first team. I continued as a 2 sport athlete (lacrosse, football) until Junior year in high school, when I decided to focus fully on lacrosse.
What makes me different from other recruits is my experience and strong values. I have a strong work and team ethic, and I always have my teammates back, on or off the field. I would be a good fit at the college level because of my ability to have strong relationships with my teammates, and respect for my coaches. I am able to use both right (dominant) and left hands, and I can play any position on the field, whatever helps the team the most. I also believe in doing well in the classroom, and getting a college degree.
