If you are looking for the unique combination of a dynamic, unselfish, strong and physical lacrosse attackman with excellent grades, I am your man. As the only three sport varsity athlete for every season since fall of freshman year at Colchester High School, and more specifically as a strong hockey player, I possess the unique mindset that allows me to crave physical contact which is necessary to succeed as an attackman in high levels of play. Although my professionally designed strength and fitness program makes me physically stronger every day, I’ve been known to bull dodge over larger defenseman, “ride” with a passion that ultimately leads to turnovers in our favor, and welcome opportunities to drive into pressure. Each day in both practice and games I prove that I am a very dynamic player as well as the most vocal player on the field that brings a creative and unselfish play style to a team and empowers my teammates to view the game from a different perspective. I have learned to conduct myself with honesty, integrity, and respect on and off the field, knowing that it reflects my team, coaches, and most importantly the school that I attend. I am a hard worker in the classroom that strives for all A’s, and my GPA of 3.8 exemplifies this. Another unique aspect of my life is that I work in a senior living home in my free time. As a food server, my formal social skills have developed immensely and allowed me to develop a great sense of maturity and respect that can be seen on and off the field/ice.
Growing up in Vermont, I was thrown into a pair of skates for the first time when I was 2 years old. My life revolved around the rink, from going to games on the weekends to practicing shots outside in my backyard. It wasn't until the 5th grade that I got my hands on my first lacrosse stick. The new hype around the school was to play lacrosse but I could not see myself playing another sport because of how busy I already was with soccer and hockey. It wasn't until 6th grade spring that I dove into the lacrosse world, from then on it became my passion. I kept practicing and in 7th grade I played for the Vermont Selects team, this was the first taste I got of the summer lacrosse world. Later in 8th grade I decided to try out for the 802 Lacrosse club team, which have been playing with them since.
High school brought a new atmosphere to me and I really started to hone in my academic prowess and shine in the classroom. Being a multi sport varsity athlete allowed me to be a huge leader on the field for other players. All I wanted to do was to make the people around me better so we could succeed as a team. Sophomore year my Athletic Director noticed this and invited me to the State Leadership Conference where every school selected 3 student athletes to take part in the conference. It lasted 2 days and included information on how to be a great leader in an athletic environment with many guest speakers that shared their experiences as athletes.
In summary, I know I can be an asset to the right school and more specifically the right lacrosse team. I am a unique combination of an academically strong student and a driven attack/midfielder that delivers positive results both on and off the field.
