Personal Statement
I have always grown up understanding that I need a great education. In our house my Dad has a quote framed that says, "Education is not only for earning a living, but for learning to live, serve and lead." I know without a great education my chances to excel in life are limited. Education is very important to me and is why I spend so much time trying my best to excel academically so I'm not limited when it comes to admittance into colleges and universities.
If I have the opportunity to have a great education and play lacrosse in college, it would be a dream come true for me. I have always tried to be the best in all that I do, otherwise what's the point in trying and giving effort if it's not your best effort. I have a warrior mindset as my Dad was a US Army Airborne Ranger as well as his brother, my uncle. Both my grandfathers served and my Mom's dad was a combat fighter pilot in the Airforce. I have 5 great great uncles that fought in WWII and all made it home and two of them made it off the beaches of France alive and made it to the end of the war. One had two purple hearts and three silver stars for gallantry in battle. I say all of this to let you know the cloth in which I come from. Being a warrior is in my mindset. My mom is a very successful business woman and she has taught me to have compassion and kindness with people who especially are not as blessed as our family. If given the opportunity to continue the sport I truly love and have been playing since I was very small exist for me in college I would be very greatful.
