Personal Statement

Hello coaches,

I’m Garner Brown, a big-bodied 6'5", 195 Lbs defender with a 3.5 unweighted GPA in the classroom. I play for my high school team Mount Si Lacrosse.  My junior season we finished with a 13-2 record. In the past, I have played for both CitySide Lacrosse and Seatown Kings Lacrosse, some of the best club teams in the Seattle area. The summer of my junior year I decided instead of playing summer lacrosse to give back to my community through voulentering for nearly 1,000 hours as a summer camp councilor, providing an education in our environment aswell as leadership training. I am a hard-working, goal-driven athlete, with a blue-collar mentality. I will stop at nothing to be the best that I can be and to help make the people around me do the same. I am a leader on and off the field. I am always a leader on the defensive end, my freshman and sophomore year was a team captain on the JV team, a varisty starter as a junior, and back into a leadership position in the preseason of my senior year. Off the field, I have been class president since my freshman year. I have now been elected to be the ASB president for the whole school. I also have the privilege of being the president of my school's Christian Connections Club. I also am one of only two student representative for my school board in my whole school district. Ever since I moved from Seattle out to a rural area of Washington state I’ve been playing lacrosse. It helped me make new friends after I moved, but most importantly it taught me to work my butt off and achieve great things. I love this sport, so naturally, I want to play at the highest level I can. Whether that is a division 1, 2, or 3 or competitive MCLA/NAIA schools. Thanks for your time and I hope you consider contacting me at [email protected] or on the phone at (206)-679-9993.

Regards,

-Garner Brown
