Charlie Flor '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a  silent  team leader. I lead by example through hard work and dedication to always improving my skills.   I am very coachable because I am willing to change and not stubbornly committed to a single way of doing things. 

I've been consistently  placed in the top varsity boats since sophomore year. I also coxed for a period when I was injured and that experience taught me tremendous amounts about rowing and teamwork. 

I love the hard work and day-to-day grind of training and team building. I ran cross-country and did CrossFit in middle school and I am used to the grind of long hours of training for very few actual events.  During shelter in place when rowing was not an option, I consistently worked out and erged at home.  I am currently rowing in singles three times a week until local health rules allow larger boats. I also watch a significant amount of rowing on YouTube and other platforms to study racing and rowing techniques. 

I love rowing and wish to continue in college.  I am dedicated and willing to put in the work necessary to succeed  and then some.
