Everyone has dreams but it’s up to them to decide to keep those dreams as dreams or for them to become a goal. For me rowing in college has been that goal since I’ve started this sport. Starting last year i started putting in extra work in outside of practice to improve my skills and times. The journey so far hasn’t been easy rowing has pushed me far past my limits and I’ve done everything to keep up. Although rowing is extremely challenging to get good at I’ve embraced this challenge. I always push myself to my limits, doing my best to set prs on every test or erg piece. Staying dedicated also means that I’m always adapting and growing to new training conditions and outside of rowing things that happen. I’ve been offered spots on the football and weightlifting teams but Ive always turned down these offers because rowing is my true passion. Because I’m determined to give this sport everything. Other than my own growth I’ve always tried my best to lift up my team and other people in my boats giving them all the knowledge that i have if it comes to technique and training. I always do my best to seek feedback from coaches to see the areas that i need to improve that i myself I’m not seeing. I believe that pushing myself to constantly improve, along with surrounding myself with a solid team, is the key to becoming the best athlete I can be.
