Aidan Anderson '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m a junior competitive rower, honours student, and enthusiastic explorer from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Since starting rowing in the fall of 2021, I have developed a great appreciation for the sport and found it to be a very rewarding commitment. During my first full season of rowing, I found a good fit in the position of stroke seat and enjoyed success in qualifying for many of my team’s priority boats. As a member of the team, I developed not only as an athlete, but also as a person through the opportunity to learn from my coaches and build upon skills such as teamwork, planning, and critical analysis. In addition, I quickly found a leadership role as co-captain on my school’s varsity team.

While competing at large regattas such as the Head of the Charles, I witnessed the calibre of performance and dedication to rowing of many high level collegiate athletes. My goal is to contribute to a collegiate team at that level, and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue my rowing career as a member of a competitive team where I could advance my personal, athletic, and academic growth. I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.
