In high school I rowed at SCH academy in Philadelphia. Here I competed in Scholastic City Championships, Stotesbury Cup Regatta, as well as Youth Nationals in Camden where my boat earned Bronze in the Varsity Quad event. I developed a strong passion for rowing throughout highschool, and after completing this past season I am incredibly ambitious to continue competing at the collegiate level.
I have always had ambition in the sport, and my goal is always to be the hardest worker on the team. Additionally, I take pride and have a passion for encouraging my teammates to push themselves to new limits in practice, as well as put in the extra hours to make the boat go faster. I have a very strong work ethic on the water, on the erg, as well as in the weightroom.
Academically, I make time to always stay on top of my assignments and succeed in my classes. In addition to my ambition on the water, I strive to thrive academically and maintain a high GPA. I am looking to reach limits I have never reached before as an athlete as well as a scholar.
I want to be part of a group of eager rowers who share the same ambition as me to compete at the top level collegiately and find a school where I can thrive academically with the right resources to pursue a career after graduating. I aspire to use this experience as a means of developing myself athletically, academically and socially.
