Personal Statement
Winning the Area 6 championship last spring was a highlight of my high school soccer career. We were able to host the first round of the playoffs. We won our first playoff game and we were one win away from making the final four. At Collinsville High School, we have a rich tradition of winning soccer championships. Collinsville won the State Championship in 1A-4A in 2013. Our program struggled during the 2014-2015 seasons. A new coach was brought with some great assistants to change the culture and get our program back on track. Coach Stanley called on me to be a leader and he expects a lot out of me being an upperclassman for our upcoming season. Our goal is to win a state championship. We are currently working really hard doing off-season conditioning.
My other half of the year is spent playing club ball. I have experienced two different type of soccer environments/levels. I played 3 years of Divison 1, and 1 year of SRPL. I was the top scorer for those 3 years. It was an amazing challenge that I accomplished, and I couldn't have done it without the love and support from my many friends, family, and coaches.
I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I have a deep love of the game rooted from the rich tradition and great history. I love to compete. I basically play the game year round. I am a very hard worker and I try to do my best at whatever task is before me. I am a hard worker in the classroom and I have good character as well. My teammates and I are very close. We are like family. We push each other to get better. We lift each other up when the chips are down. I love playing soccer at Collinsville High School because it’s a great community and we receive lots of support.
I believe that I have tools to play on the collegiate level because of my commitment to be the best as a leader on the field, in the weight room, and in the classroom.
