Alex Juarez '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Alex Victor Juarez and my career goal is to become a Physical Therapist while I have the opportunity of playing my passion sport "soccer".  My parents have taught me that success doesn't happen without effort, team work, passion, intensity and believing in myself. I am dedicated to accomplishing my school and athletic goals. I have had the privilege of being team captain at Anthem Soccer Club for 6 years and this has taught me very valuable lessons. I would also like to help my High School team excel both on and off the field.  My dad is a soccer coach at Anthem Soccer Club and now RSL Arizona and has taught me important values such as loyalty, ethics, persistence and hard work. I am also privileged to have been given the opportunity to play JV and Varsity as a freshman student at Boulder Creek High School and Varsity as a sophomore.  During the fifth game of the 2017-2018 season I suffered a season ending ACL and meniscus injury that sidelined me for 10 months.  This has taught me a lesson of perseverance, work and patience. It hasn't been easy, but I know this has made me better person. I am ready to come back for the 2018-2019 season at HS and at club with Real Salt Lake at the APL level.  I am hoping to get to know college coaches and demonstrate my talent and passion.  I am learning important life skills at a young age.  Some of these experiences have come from being a paid soccer referee.  I began being a referee in 2012 and currently hold a Grade 8 license. It has taught me discipline, ethics and self respect.  I have had to deal with difficult parents and coaches and has taught me to diffuse difficult situations.
