The highlight of my high school career so far has been winning the chandler prep tournament during my junior year, but while it was exciting, the part that taught me the most was fighting for playing time during my freshman year against a lot of upperclassmen. It helped me learn that my spot wasn't always going to be a guarantee and that it takes a lot of work to try and displace someone in the starting lineup, and will benefit me when I become a freshman again going into college.
I have been committed to this sport since I was three, and it has taught me teamwork, sacrifice, leadership, and hard work. The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was when the age change occurred, and I moved up from being an 03 to be an 02. The first year after this change showed me that I had to work a lot harder to catch up to some of the kids that were almost a year older than I was. Similar to athletics, I set the bar for my academics high, as I am committed to being an excellent player, and student. As I have been the captain for multiple teams that I have played for in my soccer career, along with being very versatile and flexible, I feel like I could make an excellent impact on any team.
