Personal Statement
I hope to attend an academically challenging college where I can play competitive soccer at the highest level. Being from a small state, it has been challenging to compete at the level I would like. I have played with the same club since I was four years old and we have consistently been the 1st or 2nd ranked team in the state. With the rigors of 10th grade AP classes, I had some struggles at the beginning of my sophomore year but once I got that issue addressed, I was able to get back to being the straight A student I'd always been. The improved focus has also helped my soccer career and I've become one of the captains for our club team. For my high school team, I played a few Junior Varsity soccer games in 9th grade and was pulled up to the Varsity team. I was a Varsity starting player by the end of my 9th grade season and started every Varsity game during 10th grade. Until the pandemic interrupted school and the soccer season, I was on track to become LR Central's all time leading scorer. That distinction was never my goal as I want to help the team be as competitive as possible. Whether playing for my club team or my high school team, I am dedicated, reliable and coachable.
