To start things off, I’ve loved soccer for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a Hispanic family, I’ve been surrounded in an environment where soccer was the main entertainment for my family and I. Later on as I grew, I fell in love with the sport and decided to start playing. It was tough for me at first and of course, I had my ups and downs but never gave up on trying to be better than my opponent. What differentiates me from my opponent is that whenever I am on the field, I play not for myself but for my family that can’t be there to watch me play. Currently I don’t live with my mom or my siblings so whenever I get on a field to play I always remember them and I feel that they give me the courage and the guts to put in hard work, either at practice or in a game. Academically I set goals on myself to improve each year so that colleges could at least take me into consideration. I feel that I can communicate well with my coaches, and team members very well off the girl and on the field. I am well aware that competition is tough and I need to put in my hard work to be better than others and be noticed more. I am simply a kid with a dream trying to help my family out.
