Austin McIntyre '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My goal after high school is to go to college and academically, strive to maintain a mechanical engineering degree with a minor in electrical engineering. Throughout my whole scholastic career I have always reached to maintain amazing grades, never going below a 3.8 GPA. I also always try to the best person and most hard working off the field just as I am on it.  On the field, I hope to play at the highest collegiate level I can and find the field with a group of passionate players like myself.  Soccer has been a huge part of my life ever since I was around 4. My mom began coaching me when I was around that young age and with this I feel is how my love for the game grew to be what it is now. Many people have always told me that my love for the game is so big it was like I was "Born with a ball at my feet." I have tried other sports but soccer has always been the one I've loved the most and always wanted to go far with. Somethings I feel that set me apart from other players is my natural born leadership, my contagious intensity I bring to every game and practice session, my vision on the field, my strength and technique especially my first touch and weight of passes, my drive to never give up, and my shot power combined with pinpoint placement. I am a right footed player that is also very comfortable with my left foot. I started out as a forward in my adolescence playing more of a target man role but now I dropped into the midfield playing the 6 or CDM role buzzing around the midfield disrupting plays and thriving for those 1v1 battles. On offense always looking to be played then distribute in no more than 3 touches. No matter the situation on the field my quick thinking always allows me to come up with a solution fast and get out of pressure.
