Joe Lopez '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joe Lopez and I am 17 years old. I’ve been playing soccer since i was 6 years old and my dream is to become a pro soccer player one day. I also enjoy making music and playing music. I am someone who will do anything and everything to achieve my goals. I am a very easy player to coach since I have experience being in multiple teams with all new players and I tend to adapt to styles of play and the team very easily. I hope one day I am able to become a pro soccer player and do what I love most as a job. I also hope to one day help my family out with anything I can since they are a big reason I am where I am. Another big goal is helping my community by allowing players who don’t have money or the equipment to play soccer with and just help those who want to become something in this wonderful sport. I’ve learned a lot in life even though i am just a teenager. One thing is never take the things you have around you for granted and make the most out of everything you have because one day it will all go away. I am the oldest of my family and I have three younger sisters, one that is 12 and the other two are twins that are 3 years old. I live with my family and they all support me so much in soccer. Over this past pandemic I have gained many responsibilities and learned how to deal with having a million things going on in your life but still balancing school, soccer, and family. A big motivation I have that keeps me going is my mom. Her dream was always to make my dream come true and she did everything for me. I hope one day to play in the Champions League playing against all the amazing teams and learning from all of them. Soccer isn’t only an amazing sport but it also allows you to learn many life lessons and have great experiences in life. Another thing is to inspire kids that if you push through and put your mind to it anything is possible. Soccer isn’t only an amazing sport but it also allows you to learn many life lessons.
