Sebastian Gabella '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sebastian Gabella and I attend Loyola High School in Los Angeles, CA, class of 2024 midfielder and attacking mid/forward.  I’m looking to continue to play at the highest level and contribute to my future soccer team. I am a player who is competitive, creative and can initiate plays. Because of these attributes, I have been graciously recognized as an All-League and All-State player. 

Soccer has been a part of my life since I was born because of my older brothers. This gave me the opportunity and privilege to start kicking the ball at age 3 while on the sidelines watching my brother play during league games and tournaments. 

Throughout my youth career, I have been a part of the US Soccer Development Academy system where I have learned the value of competition and hard work. The academy system has taught me the foundation of soccer where touch, skill, focus, and soccer IQ are emphasized. Soccer has (and continues) to teach me how to never give up. This eventually has taught me about myself and how I can best use myself to help my team succeed. I learned from my teammates what I need to do to become a better player and person for them. I have learned to focus on my strengths and hone those to their best ability. These strengths include my vision, ability to dribble, but most importantly my virtue of not giving up.

My road has been challenging and tough, but I am fortunate to be playing the sport that I love and enjoy.  Above all, I want to play to the best of my ability not just for me but for a great college team where my talent and skills can help my team succeed! 

A little background about me.  I have been playing competitive soccer since I was 5 years old in FC Golden State. Transferred to the FC Golden State USDA Academy program at the age of eight (U9) and played through U15 until the USDA program was terminated in the US. Transferred to ECNL in 2020 under U15 and I am now in FC Golden State Force MLS Next - U19.
