Gabriel Garcia '20 Recruiting Profile

Updated: I am a university sophomore [Freshmen in regards to NCAA eligibility, c/o 2024]. I am 5'11 and 160 pounds. I play as an outside back as my primary position and a center back as my secondary position. I have played for Tiffin University Men's Soccer Program for 1 1/2 semesters [from Fall 2021 to- End of Fall 2022]. I have been involved in multiple leagues and clubs before college, such as Premiere Indoor Soccer, Murrieta Surf, and Arsenal F.C. South.

Outside of soccer, I love to go on long-distance runs as a sense of relaxation. I am also very involved in my church and volunteering to aid the youth ministry as an assistant. I also have visited Bulgaria for a Missions Trip. As a person, I am one to choose a different path than what the majority chooses, as I like to stand out from others and try things that are out of the ordinary. When it comes to family, however, I am very traditional and live as a representation of my family’s culture and lives.

I have grown up as a grandchild to a former-semi-pro goalkeeper for Atlas, which has been my motivation to finish my grandfather’s footsteps, which then I would complete his dream of making it as a professional player. This has turned into my dream, as I put various amounts of work and dedication to “polish the edges of the piece” to stand out from any other player.

My anticipation and reaction would be my mental projections, as my speed and footwork would be my physical projections, which allows me to stick out compared to other players. I will not only continue to grow as a player, however as a person as well, strengthening my characteristics and wisdom which I will use to strive for the best life I can possibly live.
