My name is Elias Quintanar Macias and I have had a passion for the game of soccer my whole life. I began playing soccer when I was 4 years old. I started this journey in AYSO and I only advanced from there. My skill level increased as I moved up to playing at the local community level, then to indoor, and to finally playing club soccer competitively. I have been playing at the club level in Cal South since the age of ten and the team was a silver level. Currently my team is a Gold team and we travel around Southern California playing other competitive teams. As for High School, I played Junior Varsity as a starter freshman year and then jumped to varsity level the next year. Now, as a junior, I was captain and a varsity starter. As a young child, I tried playing other sports such as baseball and swim, but nothing was as fulfilling as soccer.
Throughout all my years playing club soccer, I have been able to maintain a high grade point average in both my middle and high school years. In middle school, I consistently receive Honor Roll, was part of the Academic Decathlon Team, and received the Presidential award of Outstanding Academic Achievement. Although I go to a relatively small high school, I chose to do so in order to focus on academics by taking high level classes, including college classes at our local community college. I work hard to maintain honor roll and aim to thrive in everything I do; that begins with my education and continually reflects on the field when I play soccer.
