Personal Statement
During my soccer career, I’ve had the privilege to win back-to-back State Cup and League trophies playing for Lamorinda Soccer Club (2015, 2016). During this time I was playing with an older age group, which helped me grow as a player and as a team-mate. I later moved over to Heritage Soccer Club and won State Cup in 2018. We got the honor to play at the National Cup in Denver and got to the semi-finals. Our team is currently ranked Number 1 in National, California and Northern California for U17 Boys.
In High School, I have been selected for the Varsity team three years running. Getting to the 2017-18 Championship Final of the North Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation as a High School Freshman has been another highlight of my soccer career, as one of only two Freshmen playing on the Varsity Team.
Both Club and High School have pushed my physical and mental abilities to new levels. I love my core defensive role, but am always looking for opportunities to pivot quickly into an attacker along the wing, and carry the ball up the field. My current position for Club and High School is Right Back, and I play an aggressive attack style up the right wing, to support our forwards. I regularly get high number of assists per season. This system of play is supported with hard work, mental discipline and daily training.
As a high school junior I am ready to commit to playing soccer in college. I am looking for a program that will help harness my skills as an outside back, and will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, team ethic, and skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
