Aiden Welch '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Aiden Welch. I live in Paso Robles, California. I was born in South Pasadena and have played club soccer from the age of six. After playing in the LA area, in 2020 our family left LA on what was supposed to be a six-month trip in South and Central America. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we were stuck in Guatemala for four months. While there I had the privilege to practice with a local team in the city of Antigua. After leaving Guatemala our family decided to move to the central coast of California and buy a farm outside of Paso Robles. Upon moving to the area I joined a local club team, and then transitioned to my current team - Santa Barbara Soccer Club U17 MLS Next after playing in Spain with Surf Select B08. As with all things in life, you get out of something what you put into it, and I plan to keep dedicating the time and effort to grow as an individual player, teammate and leader - and hope to have a successful collegiate soccer career.
