Personal Statement
I define myself as a student-athlete and always try to maintain the ideal balance of academics and athletics. What makes me different is my willingness to work harder than the next guy and my true love of the game. I started as a recreational player and through hard work and strength of character, I have been fortunate enough to play at the highest level locally and on the CalSouth ODP team. I have learned valuable lessons in patience, perseverance, and team work while rising through the ranks. I am a natural leader and have been selected as Captain for multiple teams over the years. Two special strengths make me an exceptional teammate and student - I am a great listener and outstanding communicator. As I have matured both physically and mentally, my goals have evolved to playing soccer in college. Currently I am the center back and team captain for the 2004 Del Mar Carmel Valley (DMCV) Sharks ECNL team coached by Warren Barton. My skills and dedication to constant improvement also led to me being selected to the 2004 CalSouth ODP team for multiple years now. I am confident that I have the work ethic, soccer skills, and coachability to make a meaningful impact for your team. Although I am still growing, I am currently 6’0" and weight 165 pounds. I attend Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, CA, and would like to study Business.
