The two qualities that define me are resilience and leadership. I have worked hard throughout my career to get the most out of my abilities. When I started playing club soccer when I was 9, after the season my coach said soccer probably wasn't for me. I wanted to keep going, so the next season I tried out for another club. The coach put me on the fourth team as a goalkeeper. The next year, I won Team MVP and player of the year. I was promoted to the third team. The year after that, I won Team MVP again, and was promoted to the second team (ECRL level). I kept working to get better. I switched clubs in 2020 to the second team at my current club San Diego Force FC, and was the primary goalkeeper on my high school JV team in 2021 and 2022. In February 2022, I was promoted to the top 2006 team in our club (Discovery/NPL).
I never gave up on myself or my career and I am really starting to see results from my work. I am proud that I started from the bottom and experienced failure. I have used it to push myself to better things.
My teammates would call me a natural leader. I take charge on the field and try to get the most out of myself and my teammates. I also am a very good student who works hard in the classroom. I am looking for a college experience to meet new people and advance myself academically and athletically.
