Personal Statement
Hello Coaches, My name is Julio Escobar and I am currently a senior at Jesse M Bethel located in Vallejo California. I have been playing soccer for ten years and it is a goal of mine to continue this sport in my college years. I currently play for my high school's varsity soccer team and my club, Vallejo United Academy 02 Boys. I have taken leadership by becoming captains for both teams. I am heavily involved in my team on and off the field by helping them become a better version of themselves with words of encouragement. I believe that I would make a good candidate for your team because I get along with people very well and I strive to become a better version of myself on and off the field. My main priority is academics. I currently have a 3.84 Unweighted GPA and a 4.08 Weighted GPA with a 24 on the ACT. I am involved in clubs such as the National Honors Society and the Academic Decathlon. I am looking forward to getting to learn more about the sport and hopefully one day playing for a college.
