On the field, I feel like I've grown so much in the past few years. I've always been a good wide player that has the ability to go forward. a few years ago was when I got moved into the back line and I think that has really helped me understand the importance of tactics and mentality. That understanding has gotten me to sharply improve my positioning in the field. This has also helped me to become somewhat of a utility player with the ability to play anywhere on the back line and as a wide player in the midfield and as a forward. Being a left footed player has also been hugely beneficial when it comes to set pieces. I generally take any free kick on the right side of the field including corners and I have the unique ability to deliver a dangerous ball into the box from my own half of the field.
The field isn't the limit of my ability either. I excel in the classroom maintaining a 4.34 cumulative GPA throughout high school so far. I'm currently enrolled in three different AP classes which end up consuming a lot of my time at home. In both completed seasons of high school soccer at the varsity level, I was recognized as an Academic All-State athlete 2 years in a row for maintaining such a high GPA. As of July 2019, I received the AP Scholar with Distinction – Awarded to students who average a minimum of 3.5 on all their AP exams and score 3 or more on at least five of these exams.
I want to go to a school that will cater to my drive to grow both academically and athletically. When it comes to soccer, I want to be able to compete for a spot on the field because it will make me the best player I can be. I also want to be challenged in the classroom, but enjoy my time pursuing a degree.
