I have played soccer for 10 years, made varsity as a freshman for Coronado high school and played on the Academy b-elite 06 team. My high school coach has been focused on creating an environment where everybody plays for each other. Because my high school doesn’t bring in a ton of club players my coach has put the mindset on us that we need to play for each other and to work harder to make our teammates look better. Those who contribute to this idea, our coach calls ‘cultural architects’ and are relied on to bring those who aren‘t bought into this idea into the cultural. This culture creates a team where there is skill, but more there is a dedication towards each other and willingness to work. These values have translated into my school work as well as many other aspects of my life. I want to go to school for computer science.
