I’m from a rural town in Colorado called Crested Butte. Despite its size our team has succeeded in winning 4 state championships within 6 seasons, 2 of which I was a part of. I was a large asset this 2023 season being the captain and center attacking midfielder leading us to victory in the state title. I’ve always been looked up to by my teammates as a positive and supportive mentor, always looking to push my teammates and myself as much as possible. Whether that’s in the classroom to keep grades high, or if it’s working as hard as possible every minute of every day during sessions. I’ve always believed that hard work is what makes an athlete successful. A player can have all the talent in the world but without hard work they will fail to rise to that next level. My hard working mentality tends to bleed over to whatever team I’m on. Once a fellow teammate comes to realize that I will work as hard as possible to recover for their mistakes and praise them on their accomplishments, I have full faith they would do the same for me. With that mentality me and the program that accepts me will be able to grow into a strong tightly woven community, able to take on the ups and downs of the beautiful game of soccer!
