- 2016 Highlights
Personal Statement
Throughout my soccer career 2 major attributes have separated me from my team mates and other recruits. These attributes include my versatility as a player and my passionate pursuit of a rigorous education.
On the field my most dangerous quality is my versatility and ability to play nearly any position. I am both tall and very quick which allows me to win headers, push players off the ball, and disrupt any attacking player when I am playing in defensive positions. Offensively however, my speed allows me to beat players one on one and make attacking runs. These skills in addition to my selfless understanding of the game also allow me to become a dangerous midfielder who can create opportunities for my teammates while also posing both offensive and defensive threats.
In the classroom I take nearly all AP or advanced classes and push myself as a student. Despite missing many days of school for soccer, I have still managed to maintain a 3.9 GPA. I am also a member of Student Council at my high school where I currently hold the position of Student Body V.P. Here I have learned and continue to develop leadership skills that will benefit me both on and off the field. Through my studies I have developed a love for math and science and hope to pursue a career in those fields.
Combining these attributes I aspire to attend college at a school that will push me as a soccer player and a student. I hope to play at the highest level possible and have a meaningful impact for my team and continue to grow academically and develop skills for a future career.
