Personal Statement
Personal training for me applies to several aspects of my life. I believe personal training is when someone does something to improve any aspect of their life whether it be on or off the field. There are several ways in which I improve my own game outside of practice. Firstly, I have two private trainers who I see occasionally to work on the skillful aspects of the game such as first touch, passing, finishing, dribbling, and so on. My two personal trainers for one on one sessions is the director of coaching at Denver Kickers, a former Manchester City, Manchester United, and Colorado Rapids player named Terry Cooke who helps me mostly with shooting and finishing, and a former major arena soccer league player Radu Marcu, who helps me with my dribbling, first touch, work rate, passing, and control. In addition, I also use my rebound net in the basement to be able to get my daily touches in because I know if I give it effort every day, it will pay off. Skills like the ones my trainers help me with are very critical aspects of the game, but to keep the theme of constantly improving myself I lift weights with a personal trainer at Next Level. By lifting weights it has enabled me to become faster on the field, more agile, and stronger. Likewise, off the field I seek personal growth in school as well. I had a tutor to help me study for my SATs, and another one who helps me understand certain concepts relating to math and science classes. I'm not in absolute desperation for a tutor, I simply find pleasure in knowing I can improve myself for the better!
