Personal Statement
My name is Daniel Juarez I am a former graduate from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, CO. Due to financial problems my family was facing I was unable to attend college last year but I’ve maintained my athletic level and; my dreams to continue playing soccer at the next level while increasing my education. I played competitive soccer since I was 9 years old at CASA FC, going on multiple out-of-state tournaments. Throughout my high school career, I've taken multiple honors and A.P classes. I made Varsity my sophomore year, Junior year which I got an honorable mention in my conference. In senior year I made second-team all-conference, that same year we won the 5A League Championship. I have always been determined to push my limits and to play at a higher level, I immersed myself in private lessons, sports performance training, and many skills camps. I gave my full focus when on the court and even off by working on skills at a park. This training was mentally and physically challenging, but it taught me commitment, the power of a positive attitude, and how to be very coachable and learn things quickly. I was fortunate enough to be part of amazing programs, to have talented coaches, and a supportive family. This experience helped me learn to overcome obstacles and grow as a person, leading me to focus on becoming a good soccer player capable of playing at the college level. Most importantly, I have learned that in order to be a student-athlete you have to be committed, disciplined, and work hard on the court and in the classroom. I have a 3.5 GPA.
