Personal Statement
My name is Ty Hanneman, and I am a rising senior at Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado.
I am a very hard-working person both athletically and also academically. I worked hard for the many opportunities that have been given to me including being on the top team at BC United (a club team in Boulder), and also being on varsity for my high school for 3 years in a row. During those years of hard work, I have provided many assists and goals as well as contributing greatly to the possession, and the team culture. I am a very supportive person, and a leader on the team, who picks others up if they make mistakes, and am willing to put in the work for the team, rather than for myself. Through trainings both on my own, and with trainers, and coaches, I have greatly improved my ball control, and passing, which are 2 of my main attributes as a player.
I never give up on and off the field. I never accept anything but my best work rate, and will train harder, study harder, and keep persevering until I achieve my goals, and the goals set forth by my coaches and teachers. I am also a very coachable person who will learn from mistakes and improve. I often critique myself on the mistakes I make during a game or practice so that I can implement the learning the next time I'm in that type of situation. Through this learning and training, I have also had the wonderful opportunity to be coached by the FC Barcelona youth coaches in Barcelona, the Manchester City youth coaches in Manchester, and finally the FA coaches in England. Through these experiences I have come to love soccer and am very passionate about the sport as well.
When my high school career is over, I want to be known as a great student, and also an excellent team player. I know I will be an asset to you and your team.
