I am Christopher Gonzalez. Ever since I started walking, I knew what I wanted to do, and that's soccer. Soccer lit up a spark in me like no other thing has, it's something I look forward to every single day. Soccer and school walks together by the hand which is why I do my best. Academic wise I've earned an Honor Roll Award, have been selected as student of the month, keep a high GPA and keep a high class rank (all can be seen in my profile). Going into my next two years of Highschool I will challenge myself, hoping to get the best chance to be scouted by a college. I have gone through good and bad days with soccer, I have had injuries and other setbacks, but I have learned to use those setbacks as lessons. As the days go by and as I keep practicing, I get better and better, and I want to share that progress with you. Coming Into my Freshman soccer season I made the varsity team and worked hard to get a starting position. Unfortunately, I suffered from an injury before games had started and only played five matches. This didn't stop me from making the best out of it though, I managed to score six goals in those five games which motivated me. My city noticed this, and I received the great honor of being interview by the local newspaper and selected as athlete of the week. Here I will leave a link to that article ( https://tinyurl.com/ysrmmdef ). My goal going into sophomore season was to do even better, and that's what I did. As a sophomore I kept my starting varsity position and scored eight goals while also putting up five assists. Junior year I wrapped up the season with 10 goals and 6 assists along with making 1st team All-Conference and receiving All-State Honor mentions! I am proud of what I have done but it isn't everything I have to give. As a student athlete I believe you can always keep getting more physical, tactical, psychological, and technical. I highly believe this amazing program will help me grow and get me a step closer to achieving my dreams and goals. I will do everything I can from my part.
