Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. I have always played as a midfielder, and I love taking control of the game from my current position as a defensive midfielder. I have experience playing in multiple different formations that revolve around the 6/8 and my strengths. I was a DA player for many years, and I am now one of the captains of my EAL team for BC United. In addition to my club team, I play for Niwot High School. I made the varsity team as a freshman, and our team was able to achieve third in the state that year. It has always been a goal of mine to play college soccer and thrive at the next level. Just recently our club got accepted into USL for a USL 2 team. I was one of the players selected to be on the USL academy team which will travel and play alongside the USL 2 team.
Some of my main strengths as a defensive midfielder are:
- My composure on the ball
- Vision for the field and distribution
- Defensive abilities
- Leadership and communication on the field
In the classroom, I take all honors/IB classes and push myself to the highest level. I enjoy most subjects, but I am specifically interested in studying business or economics, and I currently take an entrepreneurship class. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and I also have a big interest in aviation and travel.
