Personal Statement
My name is Gabriel Mays-Sanchez and I play for CFC United U18 ECNL Regional. I am primarily a winger or outside midfielder however, I can play any forward/midfield position and occasionally right back. My strongest attributes are my speed and agility both on the ball and off, my constant communication with teammates, as well as my stamina to go full 90+ minutes. I was the only freshman to make varsity after a selective tryout and picked up five goals and several starts my first year. I dream of playing at the highest collegiate level whilst working diligently in the classroom. What separates me from many recruits is my background. I am half Hispanic and athletically have been surrounded by players from both Hispanic countries and African countries. This exposure allowed me to build my confidence that I have what it takes to contribute to any college program.
