Jude Sargent '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a committed student athlete and competitor whose goal is to play soccer at the collegiate level, at the highest performing academic institution I can attain.  I have come up through the ranks of club and high school soccer continuing a year round competitive schedule.  I train and maintain a high level of fitness off the field, in order to perform at the top of my game at all times.  I enjoy being a leader on the field and was happy to be named captain of both my high school and club team early on.

My commitment in the classroom is similar to my dedication on the field.  I enjoy learning and achieving success in my academic life.  I understand that it is the primary key to getting all that I can out of life.  Cultural learning really appeals to me.  On top of really taking an interest in learning and speaking French in school, I was a lucky enough to have had two excellent European experiences already in my life.  Two summers ago I trained at the Ajax facility in Amsterdam for two weeks as part of a select Adidas soccer program.  In the spring of 2019 I spent two weeks in France with a host family in eastern France.  Both experiences taught me a tremendous amount about life outside of the US and what doors can be opened with academic success.

My interest in business and culture leads me to focus on studying economics when I start my collegiate career.  I think it will bring together two areas that I find interest in and challenge at the same time.  Although I am not sure where I will end up farther down the road, I would like to begin my time after college as an officer in one of the branches of the United States Military.  I have always been interested in serving and see it as an excellent launching pad into all that I would like to achieve.  

I am looking for a collegiate soccer program that is competitive always, but also has a high focus on team and brotherhood as well.  What a coach will get out of me is a committed follower who is willing and able take on all obstacles in order to achieve team success.
