Personal Statement
I've basically been playing soccer my entire life. I started when I was five and my parents signed me up for kindergarten soccer even though I hadn't started school yet. By the time they discovered the mistake, they decided they couldn't kick me out because I was the best kid in the league. Since then I have made every all- star team, every travel team, every academy team, every high school team and every elite premier team that I've tried out for. And on every single one of these teams, it was all about defense. If I've learned nothing else from soccer, for me, it's all about defense.
Nothing gets by me. Nothing. On the field, I will do anything and everything to keep the ball and my opponents from getting past me. This mentality has overflowed into my whole existance. Off the field, my goal is to keep life and academics in front of me and in my control. I will work diligently to make sure that I stay on top of all that is required of me so that I and my team can succeed. I hope someday to play for a competitive team at a college that will provide me with a great education and prepare me for my future. I will do anything to keep that goal from passing me by.
