Soccer has been a huge passion of mine since my early years. I started playing in my local recreational league in Arizona at age 5 and have played on various other teams in Boston and DC. My love for the sport has led to my summer job at Sidwell Friends School as a soccer counselor. My size can be a disadvantage at times, but through putting in hard work off the pitch, I am now easily able use my pace and acceleration to get away from big defenders. I play for the Bethesda Soccer Club U-17's and have started for my high school, the Edmund Burke School, since freshman year. I originally played as fullback but my coaches realized that my skills would be better utilized if I played as a striker/winger as I am very quick and fast and can easily create space for myself to pop off a shot or find a pass. I work very hard on the pitch, but I also carry that work ethic off of it. I currently have a 3.56 cumulative average on a 4 point scale. This year, I currently have a 3.87 weighted GPA and am taking 2 AP courses. Science and Math are my favorite subjects and I am particularly interested in chemistry. Soccer is very important to me, but I always make sure to spend time with my friends and have a great time too.
