Personal Statement
I have played competitive club soccer since I was 5. I started playing forward at a young age and eventually played midfielder for several years. As a Goal Keeper I enjoy leading my team, in my position I have the ability to see opportunities for my team mates and they have the confidence in me to follow my lead. In my position my coach encourages and allows me to lead the defense. My collegiate goals are both on and off the field. On the field goals include team cohesiveness, morals, and tradition. I want to assist the team I play with my love and dedication for the game. Having a winning record and a clean sheet every year I play would be amazing as well. I will strive to lead the division in save percentage. I would represent my school to the highest level of integrity on and off the field. I am an excellent candidate for any soccer team at any college level. I give my all during practice and on the field. I feel that I am a player that listens to the instructions by my coaches, always wanting to improve and be the best in my position. My practice sessions usually consist of two days a week with the team, workout in the gym, yoga, and a scrimmage once a week, run 4 miles on days off and I have goal keeper training sessions two nights a week. My academic success includes holding a 3.7 at my school, honor roll student and I was nominated as a Lake Wales Scholar. I want to pursue Sports Management or Sports Medicine as a field of study, I know any college would be proud to have me as a student and athlete, I will represent the school above and beyond my ability, this is an opportunity I have dreamed of and I am looking forward to what the future will hold for me on and off the field.
