Personal Statement
My number one goal is to go to college. If I can play soccer, that will be a dream come true! Education is my priority, but I really have a passion for soccer. If given the opportunity, I would be thrilled to play at the college level. What sets me apart is my desire to grow and improve as a player every time I step on the field. My coaches have told me that I am "coachable". I think this is because I was brought up to respect authority. It is also because I want to learn everything I can from my coaches in order to improve my skills and help my team. When I am on the field, I give 100%. It does not matter if it is practice or a game. I set personal goals and work my hardest to achieve them whether it's a big test coming up or a big game. I have competed on division one club teams and have gone to state cup. As a 15 year old, my club coach moved me up to the U19 Team. Last summer I also attended a 5 day soccer camp at USF. I play frequently against the number one high school/club team in the nation, Monteverde Academy, so I know how it is to play against the best. Also next May I will be going with my club team to the Netherlands where my coach (George Intveld) played professionally, we will have the chance to play against semi pro and top amateur teams. We will also visit his old club (FC Utrecht) and play in a tournament consisting of teams from multiple different countries. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my personal statement and for considering me for this opportunity.
