Hi, my name is Chase David Robinson and I am 13 years old. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 but I have been playing competitive soccer with my club team since I was 8 years old. One of my academic goals is to graduate college with a pre-law political science degree so that I can become a sports agent for professional athletes. My ultimate dream is to become a professional soccer goalkeeper for Arsenal in England.
I feel that I would be a great candidate for your team because I would bring high-level talent, leadership, and critical thinking skills. I started off in my club team when I was 8 at the premier level and advanced to the showcase team by the age of 12 years old and was the starting goalkeeper every year since I started. As a 7th grader, I tried out to be on the high school team and was selected to be the starting goalkeeper for the team. I was also chosen as the MVP player of that season. In addition to my athletic skills, I have always been a high academic student finishing with high honor roll each semester.
I think what makes me stand out as a player is my coachability. I attended the IMG soccer camp and was invited to be a permanent student on campus as one of their soccer goalies after training for just one week. The coaches told me that one of my major skill sets was that I was able to take feedback and implement it immediately. I know how to separate business from personal. I know how to keep emotions out of my head when I make a mistake. I use that as motivation to improve and stay focused.
