Samuel Roca '22 Recruiting Profile

First of all, thank you for considering my profile. Since I was 4 years old, I have been in a soccer field training with discipline, strong motivation and passion to be the right candidate that you guys need for your soccer team. I have aspirations to play at the highest level and I have always prioritize my goals to play in a challenging college soccer program. Due to family reasons, I have had the oportunity to play in Colombia, Brazil, and most recently in US, learning different techniques and play strategies. I am an attacking midfielder and my main strengths on the field are making smart and quick decisions, reading the field in order to connect with my teammates and knowing where to be on and off ball, control the ball in tight spaces, defensively closing lanes, and most importantly, I am a great play maker with unique game idea. 

From my personal point of view, my family and God are my main columns in life. Being an immigrant has taught me to be a flexible person with high capacity to adapt to new circumstances, give value to differences, be open to new experiences and easily connect with people. I am dedicated to my studies recognizing that enriching my mind is just as important as strengthening my body. In my high school, I have been getting honor roll recognition since freshman year and I encourage myself to get the most knowledge possible with honors and AP classes.
