Personal Statement
If there is one thing that best describes me it’s persistent. When others say “can’t”, I use that as motivation to prove them wrong. I am coachable. I am humble. I have no agendas. I am not a primadona. I listen well, interpret and execute. I have a high soccer IQ and see plays develop 2-3 steps beforehand. I am a great teammate - always encouraging others and helping them to be better. I am dedicated, focus and driven. I have always wanted to play in college. It’s been a dream. I also believe the mental part of the game - the need to be and remain focused - has helped me be a better student. When it comes to playing defense, I have a simple mindset - “not in my house”. That tenacity has served me well and is something that coaches and parents often comment on.
My parents are first generation. My mom is from Venezuela and my dad’s parents from Canada. They’ve instilled in me a strong work ethic. To give 100% - leave it on the field - no regrets. That’s how I play every game - regardless of who we are playing, tournament, showcase, or an 0-10 team. I know I have one chance to make a lasting impression and it will always be a great impression.
