Personal Statement
I have worked and stopped at nothing to ensure that I receive the best education I can get along with playing at a high level of soccer, as I firmly believe one should complement the other. I would be a great fit for any school because as a Center Back and Central Defensive Midfielder, I have developed leadership skills as well as become extremely aware of the field at all times during a match. Unlike other recruits, I have an innate ability to play music as well as started an annual walk known as the Walk for Jen that raises money and awareness for MDS and other bone marrow failure diseases and raised over $35,000 in three years through this. In addition, my decision making in crucial moments and speed of play have become second nature after playing at such high levels of the game both in the U.S. and overseas in England. My passing has become very accurate as I have been told that I can play a ball to feet almost anywhere at any time if I choose to do so. In dire situations, I have the ability to put the team on my shoulders and motivate my teammates to get the result we need. Academically, I finished my sophomore year in the spring of 2017 with an unweighted 4.0 GPA and a weighted 4.3 GPA at one of the most prestigious high schools in Florida, Miami Country Day School.
