My name is Max Mullane, I was born in London, England. I am 17 years old and my whole life I have played soccer. Throughout this love for soccer, I have kept a high standard with my academics. I have always been intrigued by business and economics and believe that it is something I want to pursue in the future. Finding the perfect balance between my academics and my passion to play for a competitive college team are my top priorities.
Since the beginning of July, I have been living in England playing for Brentford FC u19's competing in the NFYL (Nation Football Youth League). This is the highest level outside of academy soccer in England. Before my time in England, I was living in Spain playing soccer for an academy that competes against top tier Spanish teams. I have played against the likes of Athletico Madrid, Valencia, and Malaga. I feel that this experience not only strengthened my game but also built character. My time spent in Spain has opened up my eyes to a new style of life which is quite different from the American lifestyle. Overall, Spain was very enjoyable and a lot of good things occurred whilst being abroad. I feel it has definitely enhanced my abilities on the pitch and opened my eyes to a new style of play.
My goals for college are to get a high level of education and to play a high standard of soccer. As a college player I will always listen to my coach for insight, never go against decisions made and always work hard for my team. I hope to meet you soon.
