Being only 5 foot 10 may give many goalkeepers a disadvantage, but it does just the opposite for me. Some of the best goalkeepers in the world are only 5'10, including Iker Casillas and Julio Caesar. Being underestimated is common, but exceeding expectations is a normality. Though I've played soccer all my life, my most successful years have been the last two years. I have won Disney, Annandale Showcase, Won Region 3 Premier League, been a finalist in the Super Y Nationals, been invited to the Super Y National ODP Camp, and have excelled on and off the field. With this being said, I'm quick off the line, and my footwork is my most important skill. In addition, I'm a team leader and am instrumental to any teams success. I demmand a lot from the players around me and accept nothing but the best. In regards to schooling, I would like to attend a nationally recognized academic school. This school would preferably be on the east coast region, but I am open in regards to the geographical region of the school. Also, I would prefer to attend a small or medium sized school, with no more than twenty thousand students. Coming from a single mother low income family, I will qualify for federal aid/grants. After college I plan on attending medical school and pursuing a medical career. Athletically, I plan on making a large impact on the school and become a leader on the team. I would not expect to play my freshman year, but through hard work and dedication become a future starter.
