Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Justin Koerner and I reside in Clearwater, Florida. I play for the Chargers MLS NEXT 2005 (u17). My collegiate aspirations would be playing at any level, as it would truly be a blessing. I prioritize my soccer and school above anything else. What separates me from other athletes are my priorities, I have been able to not only excel academically but also in athletics by being expressing my persistence against adversity on and off the field. In addition, my desire to always be the best version of myself always makes me push myself in every aspect of life including academics and soccer.

Reading The Game - Does well seeing the first level of pressure and making appropriate decision on the ball. Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Speed - Great speed overall, in particular when running into space. Will be an important asset going forward. Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. Mental Abilities - 92 / 100 Confidence - Great confidence, didn’t shy away when challenged at camp and played with a sense of urgency. Team Player - Great team-first attitude. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. Coach's Comments He is a very technical player and has great vision on the field. He is not afraid to take on a player or draw them out. His awareness is very good on and off the ball. Continue to use ball mastery drills to improve ball work skills be sure to constrict while defending and expand rapidly while attacking utilize plyometrics to increase explosiveness.
