Personal Statement
As a freshmen I earned the starting position as the varsity goalkeeper, the highlight of my high school career so far has been making it to regionals as a freshmen starting keeper. I feel as though that starting as a freshman goalkeeper for my high school team helped me develop even further as a player in many ways. What attracted me to becoming a goalkeeper is that I am able to be a leader on the field, I have to be vocal since I can see the whole field and am able to lead and help my team throughout every game. At the early age of seven I knew goalkeeper was the position for me, I loved the fact that I am the last defender on the field so I can be the one to change the game by making the save. What I've learned about my self through playing is that you need leadership, commitment, passion and sacrifice to play the game of soccer.
When I look at my future and into my years in college, I would like to pursue my interests in being a first responder and or team management for sports. I think that I not only have the talent to play in college, I also think I have the leadership skills, the work ethic and the dedication to make an impact on any college program. Being that I am a two sport athlete and hold starting positions for both soccer and football, I know I have what it takes to play on and be a part of a college team.
