Personal Statement
I was born on Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. My father is a retired Air Force Officer and true to his Air Force training, my father has always tried to instill in my sister and me the Air Force core values – Integrity First, Excellence In All We Do and Service Before Self. These are values my sister and I both strive to maintain and will carry for the rest of our lives.
In the summer of 2014, my parents decided to retire from active duty and settle in Wesley Chapel, Fl. The following year as a sophomore, my high school went to the Florida State Cup semi finales and we lost. Although it was a difficult loss, that event became a defining moment in my small soccer career because I learned a lot about myself. I learned the values of dedication, sacrifice, leadership, and teamwork and since then I’ve not only pushed myself, but also my teammates to excel on and off the field. My upbringing as a military brat has enabled me to become adaptive, flexible, and open-minded to ever changing environments and all of these experiences have prepared me for the next level as a collegiate soccer student-athlete.
In my pursuit to become a collegiate student-athlete, I am seeking a program that will challenge my athletic and academic abilities push me to the limits of my full potential. Like the Air Force core values, I am confident that I possess the work ethic, patience, commitment, character, and leadership abilities to succeed in any collegiate soccer program!
