Jonathan Weaver '22 Recruiting Profile

Since I was three years old, I had a soccer ball at my feet. Naturally growing up a soccer player one has goals to play at the collegiate level and beyond. My playing style suits more as a playmaker, as I take as much pride in giving my teammates a goal than scoring one myself. As playing for club and high school I have been played in almost all positions in the attacking field, my versatility comes in my ability to use both feet. My difference contrasting many of my peers primarily playing as an outside midfielder/winger is getting in positions to take someone on and feed in balls into the attacking third for strikers to finish. Also, academics are very important to me as I am willing to put my social life on pause to get the job done and I am more than willing to do that at the collegiate level. I hope coaches can see me as a benefit not only on the field but off the field as well in my studies.
